Meet Our Administrative Team

Hi Navin! My name is Katie Van Schoyck, but most people call me Katie Van or Ms. Van. I'm incredibly honored and excited to be the new principal at Navin Elementary! I'll be joining the Marsyville Schools team after a long history as a student, teacher, and administrator at Groveport Madison Local Schools. Throughout my career, I've always put relationships with students and families at the forefront as we partner to grow students academically, socially, and emotionally. I'm excited by the alignment of these values with the strong culture of caring for the whole-child at Navin Elementary. In addition to my enthusiasm for this opportunity, I'm also excited to join my significant other, Josh, in being a part of the growing Marysville community. When we're not working, you can usually find us exploring hiking trails around Ohio or in a National Park. I'm also on a quest to visit every major league baseball stadium (currently at 20 out of 30), so that helps fuel my travel. This photo showcases my passion for baseball and parks as I represented my favorite team, the New York Yankees while hiking in Death Valley NP. As we gear up for the upcoming school year, I look forward to meeting many of you and learning more about what makes Navin the special place that it is!
